Green and Sutton injured, Carter expelled - 2nd week of Business in the Canadian League

The Montreal Alouettes found their supporters Thursday while receiving the Red and Black of Ottawa, in a long match and that proved to draft the Montreal side.

The passes of Kevin Glenn quarter seemed imprecise few times. The kicker Boris Bede has managed a goal attempt (53-yard anyway) in three attempts. Tyrell Sutton, the league's best rusher last year, was injured and was placed on the disabled list for six games. The veteran wide receiver S .J. Green was also injured knee. His season is over.

Even the only hit the Bird hand turned into bad news. On receipt, Duron Carter was plated questionably. In fury, he headed to the Ottawa bench and shoved head coach Rick Campbell. The Alouettes have put their player fined. The league should make a decision soon.

The Ottawa side, retain the performance of Chris Williams pass receiver, who caught seven for 187 yards and a touchdown.

A match to forget the side of Montreal. Ottawa victory, 28-13.

In Regina, the Saskatchewan Roughriders opened their season at home receiving the Toronto Argonauts. It was the first game of Chris Jones to head the Riders. This had caused some surprise by leaving the Edmonton Eskimos after being guided to the Grey Cup last fall. In Regina, in addition to head coach, was also offered to the general manager.
Toronto started the game strong by scoring two touchdowns without reply in both cases passes Ricky Ray.

The Riders tried to get back in the shot, but the defense of Argos did the job. Noted in passing the performance of the former Concordia University Stingers Cory Greenwood and Keon Raymond. Both linebackers have managed eight tackles each.

Toronto wins 30-17.

Friday, Day Canada Day, there were two games showing.

First, Hamilton Tiger-Cats received the Lions of British Columbia.

The hosts never really threatening. Their attack, still handicapped by the absence of starting quarterback Zach Collaros, has struggled to generate anything.
The side of Lions , Shaquille Murray Lawrence and Emmanuel Arceneaux scored touchdowns. Victory BC, 28-3.

The other match of July 1 was held in Calgary, while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were visiting the Stampeders.

A push of 15 points for the Bombers in the fourth quarter has published the tighter match than it was in reality. Attack of the Stamps was dominant.

Stress among other touchdown of the former Green and Gold of the University of Sherbrooke, Simon Charbonneau-Campeau, a 27-yard pass from Bo Levi Mitchell. The Canadian Jerome Messam ball carrier was also shown for Calgary, with 16 races for gains of 137 yards.

Gain Stampeders, 36-22.

The Edmonton Eskimos were inactive this week.
